Mitchell the prize of the Peach State

The Slant will offer you glimpses of the top recruits in the nation from time to time on video.

And one of the nation's best recruits for the Class of 2003 is LaGrange, Ga., quarterback prospect Blake Mitchell.

"He's a perfect drop-back passer and he's been offered (scholarships) by pretty much everybody," LaGrange coach Steve Pardue said. "He has a really strong arm and understands the game.

"I feel like he'll be able to add on weight pretty quick in college which may be all he needs. His brother was 6-7, 215-pounds when he was drafted (in the 4th round). Now, he's 238 and with the Colorado Rockies."

To view the video, you must have a Windows Media Player.
