McNaul out for opener

Starting outside linebacker Bryce McNaul will not play in Northwestern's season opener against Vanderbilt on Saturday night.

McNaul will likely be replaced by Ben Johnson.

The other players who will not play against the Commodores are:

  • David Arnold, S: Foot
  • Roderick Goodlow, LB: Knee (out for season)
  • Keegan Grant, G: Illness
  • Tony Jones, WR: Shoulder
  • Tim Riley, LB: Shoulder
