Flashes upend the Cardinals
The Golden Flashes racked up 452 yards of offense and the defense held the Cardinals to just 272 and forced four Ball State turnovers in the victory.
Leading 13-7 at halftime, Kent State linebacker Dorian Wood picked off a Keith Wenning pass and returned it 61 yards for a touchdown.
Ball State responded with a 32-yard touchdown of its own, but Kent State dominated the fourth quarter with two more touchdowns.
After the game, head coach Doug Martin, Wood, quarterback Spencer Keith and wide receiver Sam Kirkland discussed the victory.
