The Starting Five makes its return to PowerMizzou.com. Each Tuesday throughout the season, we will rank the five Tigers who had the best performances over the past week. A player's ranking one week has no bearing on his placement on the list the next week. This is our list of the five Tigers who had, in our opinion, the best week in the Tigers' split games against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Georgetown and Oregon:
Dixon did have a couple of key mistakes down the stretch against Georgetown, but was a major reason the Tigers were even in the game. Dixon averaged 13 points, four assists and three steals with just five total turnovers last week.
Bowers is yet to have a true breakout game, though he did average 11.7 points in three games. His eight total boards in three games have to improve and he must cut down on the five turnovers he had against Oregon. As the competition increases, Bowers' spot on this list will need to move higher.
