It is championship time at the Creek and the conference sent five teams to the NCAA women's rowing championships this week.

Meanwhile, at NCAA HQ, the organization is looking into making some changes to the APR penalty system.





Oregon State

In football, defensive lineman Castro Masaniai was suspended after his arrest and five charges were assessed in connection to a domestic dispute with his girlfriend.



Washington

In men's track and field, sprinter James Alaka won the 100-meter and 200-meter races at the Pac-10 Championships.



Oregon

In baseball, junior second baseman Danny Pulfer was named as the conference's player of the week.



Arizona State

In women's hoop, Cleveland State associate coach Amy Wright was hired as an assistant coach at ASU.



UCLA

In men's volleyball, longtime head coach Al Scates will retire after the 2012 season.



Stanford

In women's water polo, the Cardinal Stanford will make a change won the NCAA title.



WSU

In baseball, Wazzu lost two to Arizona but took one from the Wildcats and split a doubleheader with Portland to move to 22-25 overall on the year and 6-15 in conference play with a 55 RPI.

In track and field, senior men's 400-meter hurdler Jeshua Anderson won his fourth straight title at the Pac-10 Championships last week, joining senior women's javelin tosser Marissa Tschida, senior women's 800-meter runner Anna Layman and the men's 4x100 relay team as Pac-10 champions.

In rowing, Wazzu will be making their sixth NCAA championship appearance at the NCAA Championship Regatta.



USC

In men's hoop, previously verbally committed guard Katin Reinhardt has de-committed from the Trojans.



Arizona

In men's hoop, point guard Lamont "MoMo" Jones will transfer.



California

In football, quarterback Zach Maynard - a transfer from Buffalo - was named as the Bears' starting QB for 2011.
