Winter Haven (Fla.) Class of 2013 running back Adam Lane had one of his better testing days while camping at Florida this past weekend.

"I ran real well. I actually ran a 4.45 in the forty. I think the coaches were impressed with what they saw from me as a back but also my blocking skills for a running back," said Lane.

The 5-foot-7, 207-pounder received some good news after the camp.

"As I was leaving Coach Muschamp came up to me and gave me his number and asked me to call him last night. When I called him he said he was very impressed with me and that he was offering me a scholarship."

Lane says that Florida isn't the first to pull the trigger with an offer.

"Florida is my first physical offer, but USF, South Carolina, and Georgia have all gave me a verbal offer."

Lane says that the four schools who have offered, as well as one other school who hasn't, are recruiting him the hardest at this time.

"Florida, USF, South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama are all after me the hardest right now," explained Lane.

The 2013 star broke down what he likes about the above schools.

Florida: "They are not only about football there they care about you off the field as well. It feels like family there so much I can just be myself there. I also really like Coach White and it amazes me how he can transition from tight end coach to running back coach and be so comfortable and relaxed about it. It shows how good of a coach he is. They have always been in my top five favorite schools."

South Florida: "Great coaches there and I always enjoy myself when I go there. When I show up down there they always show me excitement and coming to me and saying, 'How are you Adam?' They also really like me as a player there too."

South Carolina: "It's actually a funny story they didn't even know who I was until my mom sent them film and then from there they have been like, 'Oh my God, you're a good player.' They always are talking to me about how I'm very smart for being so young and that I block really well for a young back."

Georgia: "They have a ton of tradition and have produced great backs in their history. I love there program and there running style there."

Alabama: "I really like their running style and their offense. The coaches have told me I fit in well with their current running backs."

Lane said he hopes to make a decision after his junior year of high school.
