The University of Toledo received commitment #19 in the 2012 football recruiting class today when junior college punter Brad Dunavant gave his commitment to head coach Matt Campbell.
Dunavant, 6-0 and 195 pounds, played his junior college ball at Trinity Valley CC in Athens, Texas.
He took an official visit to Toledo last weekend and came away very impressed. The only problem was that he still did not have an offer from the Rockets at that point. That changed today when Toledo decided to offer the punter a scholarship, and Dunavant committed right away. He was recruited to Toledo by assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Alex Golesh.
He played his high school ball at Rockwall-Heath High School in Rockwall, Texas. He graduated in the spring of 2010 and spent two years at Trinity Valley.
He has three years to play two at Toledo. He plans on signing with the Rockets during the early signing period for JUCO's, which starts on December 21st. He will enroll in classes at Toledo in January, and be eligible to participate in spring practices.
