JUCO Punter Signs with Toledo

Trinity Valley CC punter Brad Dunavant signed with the University of Toledo today, making him the first official signee of the 2012 football recruiting class for new Rocket head coach Matt Campbell.

Dunavant, 6-0 and 195 pounds, committed to Toledo about a week ago after receiving an offer from Toledo. He took an official visit to Toledo on December 9th.

Dunavant played his high school ball at Rockwall-Heath high school in Rockwall, Texas. After graduating from high school in the spring of 2010, Brad spent two seasons at Trinity Valley CC. He has three years to play two at Toledo.

Today is the first day that junior college athletes that graduate in December and mid-year transfers are allowed to sign with Division I schools. Dunavant is expected to be the only recruit that Toledo will sign during the JUCO and mid-year transfer early signing period. The rest of Toledo's 2012 football recruiting class cannot sign until the regular signing period on Wednesday, February 1st.
