Looking at the class of 2015, one of the bigger stories of the spring and early summer has been the rise of Cheick Diallo.
A 6-foot-9 power forward from Centereach (N.Y.) Our Savior, it isn't as if Diallo was being overlooked heading into the spring.
Thanks to an outstanding sophomore campaign, Diallo already checks in at No. 24 overall in his class and he's a high-end, four-star prospect. However, he's on his way into at least the national top 10 and five-star status thanks to his inspired play on the grassroots circuit.
With Team Scan, Diallo overwhelmed many older players in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League. Then, he showed up last weekend at NBPA Top 100 Camp and walked away with the camp MVP as voted on by his peers.
Diallo can really run and he plays with physicality. He has very strong hands, commits himself to attacking the glass and he is developing pretty nicely as a low-post scorer.
