NU, Watkins part ways

Four-star Class of 2014 commitment Dareian Watkins is no longer a Wildcat.

Northwestern pulled Watkins' scholarship shortly after the Galion (Ohio) standout visited Wisconsin last weekend. The four-star athlete then officially decommitted from the school.

The news was first reported by WildcatReport this morning and has since been confirmed by Rivals' Josh Hemholdt.

Watkins was slated to play slot wide receiver for the Wildcats and had been one of three four-star commitments in Northwestern's Class of 2014. He committed to Northwestern in May.
