ATLANTA -- The VTO Sports Elite 100 at Lovejoy High School featured some of the top underclassmen in Georgia. Several high-level talents emerged from a field of the classes of 2015, 2016 and 2017.

One of the brightest stars of the day was 2017 athlete Jamyest Williams from Archer High School. Williams has offers from Georgia Tech and Charlotte and he earned a trip to the Rivals Underclassmen Challenge with his performance Saturday at cornerback and wide receiver. In man-to-man press coverage, Williams did not allow a single completion during drills.

"I just wanted to come out and compete at a high level and learn something," Williams said. "I love competition and I'm excited about the Rivals Underclassmen Challenge."

Cartersville 2016 quarterback Miller Forristall was the top quarterback and his performance earned him an invitation to the Rivals Camp Series event in Atlanta. Forristall towered over the other quarterbacks at six-foot-six and he was the most consistent performer in a talented group.

Another young quarterback Davis Mills from Greater Atlanta Christian was as impressive as Forristall with a slightly better arm. Mills, a 2017 target, is already hearing from Georgia and Alabama and he won the sleeper award Saturday. The talented quarterback showed tremendous touch and accuracy on throws downfield while firing sharp and crisp passes on underneath routes. Mills performance earned him an invite to the Rivals Camp Series in Atlanta.

Mays 2016 linebacker Tobias Little was so fired up for the competition that he broke his nose during a drill, but continued with the rest of the camp like nothing happened. Little also earned an invite to the Rivals Camp Series event in Atlanta and seized the top linebacker award at the camp.

"I'm really excited about the Rivals camp at Marist," Little said. "I've been getting more and more interest from schools and I think it will help. Georgia Tech has offered and Clemson is close to offering too."

A local lineman took home the best offensive lineman award and the final spot for the Rivals Camp Series event in Atlanta. Lovejoy rising senior lineman Randy Robinson dominated the trenches, showing why he is one of the top offensive linemen in the state for 2015. South Cobb 2015 offensive lineman Henry White had the second best performance of the day in that group, dominating at the guard position.

Jones County tailback Walker Juhan III took home the top running back spot while 2017 Lovejoy receiver Malik Route took home the top wideout award. Juhan showed good hands and shiftiness during the running back/linebacker one-on-one drills.

On the defensive side, 2017 cornerback Deangelo Gibbs won the top defensive back award and junior Theodore Eboigbe from Arabia Mountain won the top defensive lineman award. Gibbs and Williams square off regularly with VTO Sports coach Derrick Tatum, who mentors them. Gibbs picked off several passes while shutting down receivers both on and off the ball.

"Deangelo and Jamyest live for competition and Jamyest was mad that Deangelo won the top defensive back spot, but he will use that to motivate him," Tatum said.

There were only a handful of tight ends on hand for the event, but Landmark Christian's Sam Dobbs took home the award at that position. Dobbs is a lanky tight end with a big frame that will fill out nicely on the next level. He ran sharp routes and has nice hands, but he needs to work on building up his upper body to shed defenders more effectively.

Williams, Forristall, Robinson, Little and Mills will all have a chance to showcase their skills again on March 29 at Marist at the Rivals Camp Series event.
