RCS Chicago: What to watch

MORE: Rivals100 | Rivals250 | RCS Headquarters

After 15 stops, the regional portion of the Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour will conclude this weekend in Chicago and the top prospects from the Midwest, and around the country, are showing up to mark the occasion.

A national camp

The 16th and final regional camp of the year in the Rivals Camp Series is going to feature one of the most diverse rosters on the tour. Prospects from 20 different states are headed to the Windy City this weekend, from as far east as South Carolina and Florida to Colorado in the west. And there are some big names coming from long distances to attend Sunday's camp. Class of 2016 running back Robert Washington from Huntersville (N.C.) Southlake Christian Academy has an offer list populated by more than two dozen of the top programs in the country. Meanwhile, Nebraska four-star defensive back commits Eric Lee and Avery Anderson will be making their way east to work out on Sunday.

Collection of top 2016 offensive linemen

Based on early returns, the offensive line group in the Midwest's 2016 class promises to be one of the best in recent memory with a top-heavy group of national prospects. Four of those top 2016 linemen -- and quite possibly the top four in the region -- will be in attendance Sunday. The most well-known is Downers Grove (Ill.) South's Erik Swenson who made a commitment to Michigan last fall. Arguably the hottest offensive line prospect in the Midwest right now is Hartland (Wisc.) Arrowhead's Ben Bredeson, who has added offers six offers from Big Five programs in the last two months. Sioux Falls (S.D.) Washington's Matt Farniok and Mundelein (Ill.) Carmel Catholic's Sean Foster also have impressive early offer list, and this will be the first time all four will go head-to-head in the same camp.

Chicagoland wide receivers set to do battle

Wide receiver is one of the deepest positions in the state of Illinois in 2015, and the top-rated prospects at the position will be at Maine South High School for Sunday's camp. Four-star Miles Boykin of New Lenox Providence Catholic is the highest rated of the bunch, checking in as the nation's No. 114 overall prospect in the 2014 class. Boykin's ranking jumped after a stand out performance at the Under Armour All-American Combine in January, and a trio of Chicagoland receivers will be looking to similarly increase their stock going heads-to-head with Boykin this weekend. Nebraska commit Spencer Tears of Oak Lawn Richards, Leon Thornton of Lombard Montini and Cameron Green of Lincolnshire (Ill.) Stevenson are all high three-stars and represent four of the top five at the position in the state. Only Lemont's Flynn Nagel, who is currently rehabilitating a foot injury suffered earlier this spring, will not be competing from that top five.

Rivals250 well represented

The top-end talent at Sunday's camp will feature several already ranked in the Rivals250 presented by Under Armour, with several more who are looking to earn their way into that tier. Headlining the group is East St. Louis (Ill.) defensive tackle Terry Beckner Jr., the nation's No. 35 ranked prospect in the 2015 class. Another Rivals100 member, linebacker Justin Hilliard will be making his way up from Cincinnati to compete. The other Rivals250 participants include wide receiver Miles Boykin, Nebraska defensive back commits Eric Lee and Avery Anderson and Missouri quarterback commit Drew Lock and running back commit Natereace Strong.

Elite underclassmen

The offensive line will not be the only position where elite underclassmen will perform. Robert Washington, the stand out sophomore from North Carolina, will be joined at the running back group by O'Fallon, Ill., sophomore Kentrail Moran. The quarterback position will feature 2016 Woodbury (Minn.) East Ridge quarterback Seth Green, who holds six early offers. At wide receiver, East St. Louis class of 2017 wide receiver Jeff Thomas is up to 12 offers while the cornerback position will feature another St. Louis-area underclass standout in Chaminade cornerback Roderick Campbell. Combined with the quartet of top 2016 offensive linemen, Sunday's event will give us a good look at future talent.
