Nebraska fans should be excited about the arrival of running back Kendall Bussey.
CHICAGO -- The final stop of the 2014 Rivals Camp Series truly had a national flavor to it as players from 20 states competed on a beautiful day at Maine South High School. Representative of the diverse group of athletes, four different states were recognized in the day's Most Valuable Player awards.
New Orleans' Kendall Bussey was named MVP at running back, duplicating his feat from the RCS Hattiesburg event he attended in March. The Nebraska commit also picked up an invitation to the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge in June, where he will line up against the best prospects in the nation.
Four-star wide receiver Miles Boykin also enjoyed an outstanding day, winning the MVP among a very competitive group and also picking up an invite to the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge. Boykin plans to narrow his wide list of suitors to 10 at the end of this month.
Pine Creek High School in Colorado Spring, Col., produced two MVP awards, as quarterback Tommy Lazzaro and defensive back Avery Anderson made their long trips pay off. Anderson is committed to Nebraska while Lazzaro still awaits his first offer.
The 16-city Rivals Camp Series has concluded, with two events left on the Rivals calendar this summer. The Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge will be held at M&T Bank Stadium on June 6-8, while the Rivals250 Underclassman Challenge will be held at EverBank Field in Jacksonville on July 12.
