Q&A with UT commitment Adam Ulatoski

16741.jpgMack Brown and the Texas Longhorns picked up their 11th commitment on Tuesday when Southlake Carroll offensive lineman Adam Ulatoski gave the UT staff a verbal pledge while on an unofficial visit to the Forty Acres.

The 6-6, 271-pound offensive tackle, becomes the second offensive lineman in UTís 2004 class, joining Round Rock Westwood offensive tackle Greg Dolan. We caught up with Ulatoski to get his thoughts on the commitment:

On his decision:

I pretty much had an idea that Texas is where I wanted to go along. When I last spoke with you, I knew thatís where I wanted to go but I didnít want to put my foot in my mouth. I still wanted to make my trip to Oklahoma before I made my decision (Ulatoski attended the OU Spring Game). After I made my visit there I knew I knew that Texas was where I wanted to go so I set up the visit to come down this afternoon.

We got there at about 10:15 and we met with coach (Mac) McWhorter. Coach Brown couldnít meet with us right away because he was having meetings with players so we took a tour around the facilities because my girlfriend hadnít seen them before.

We had lunch at the dining hall because that was the only time that we could meet with coach McWhorter and coach Brown at the same time. Thatís pretty much when I made my commitment official.

On offensive tackle being a need position for Texas:

They told me that they got the two tackles that they wanted the most in Greg Dolan and me. They said they didnít have a clear two-deep at that position.

On what stood out about Texas:

Texas is the only school that I wanted to go to. Itís a place where you can win a national championship and get a quality education at the same time. They also have a great coaching staff and really they have everything I was looking for.
