Two team race for Georgia WR

Wide receiver Demiko Goodman is in no hurry to make his decision, however, it looks like the Newnan High School speedster has narrowed his choices to two.

The four-star wideout will visit Georgia the weekend of January 9th, and Florida State most likely the weekend of January 23rd with teammate Earnest Mitchell, a three-star defensive tackle. Goodman told Sunday night that he'll make a commitment after his two visits. Most likely he will base his decision on where he feels the most comfortable.

When asked to rank which school, UGA or FSU, holds the early edge, Goodman said both are "50-50". He says he's enjoying the recruiting process and that his grades are good. He likes the offenses run by both teams and feels he would be able to fit right in. However, with his 6-foot-4 frame and 4.4 speed he would likely fit into any offense.

"FSU likes to go deep and Georgia uses a lot of receivers, so right now, I like them both", says Goodman.

This is a kid that is now involved in the border war between FSU-Georgia, and his decision could rest on not only which school would use his size the best, but also where his teammate goes.

In addition to recruiting, Goodman will stay busy the next few months. He plays basketball for Newnan but is also getting ready to play in the December 30th North-South Georgia All-star game. In January he will focus on playing basketball and start getting ready for track season. As a sophomore he won the track and field national championship in the 16 and under division. He also won the 400 meter state title last year.

In his senior season Goodman caught 41 balls for 650 yards and five touchdowns.
