Morriss continues to emphasize in-state recruiting and recently has offered a scholarship to running back-cornerback Justin Miller of Owensboro.
The 6-0, 180-pound Miller runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds. Carter Hall of Bluegrass Recruiting says Miller also has offers from Louisville, Purdue and Miami (Ohio), too, with Clemson and Indiana showing continued interest. Other schools who have contacted Miller include Florida, Kansas State and Missouri.
Miller, who plans to attend camps at Clemson and Florida this summer, rushed for 1,300 yards and 18 touchdowns last year and also caught passes for 400 yards and six scores to help Owensboro reach the Class AAA finals.
Miller, who also plays basketball and runs track, told Hall that he has lofty goals set for himself next season. He wants to win Mr. Football, play in the Kentucky-Tennessee all-star game, lead his team to a state championship and earn all-state honors on both offense and defense.
