John Eason watched Byrd play his final game this season on Friday in Orangeburg, S.C.

"I like Georgia because they compete for conference and national championships every year, the school is located 100 miles from my home, and (Mark Richt) is a God-fearing man and not afraid to show it.
"My parents and I are excited about going over there in January for a visit."
Byrd made an unofficial visit to Florida State on Saturday and met with legendary coach
"Coach Bowden seemed like a great person, the same exact way he comes across on TV," Byrd said. "What really caught my eye about FSU were the facilities. Its stadium looks like a palace."
