Riddell Footwear: Receiver Nominations

Wide Receiver Nominations
The Riddell Footwear High School All-America Football Team consists of the best football players in the entire country. Additionally, the team will bestow seven special coaching awards - one to the national high school coach of the year and six more to regional coaches of the year throughout the country. Here are the nominations for the wide receiver position. The actual team members will be announced in January, along with the Riddell Footwear National Coach of the Year and six Riddell Footwear Regional Coaches of the Year.

Olson, Ben
Devin Aromashodu
Atlanta Booker T. Washington
Height: 5-foot-11
Weight: 191 pounds
40-yard dash: 4.4 seconds
GPA: 3.0
Aromashodu is one of the most explosive wide receivers in Florida. "I'll beat you with my speed and then go up and get the ball."  
College choices: Florida, Notre Dame, Auburn, Miami, N.C. State, Northwestern and Ohio State.

Champaign (Ill.) Centennial
Height: 6-foot-3
Weight: 190 pounds
40-yard dash: 4.5 seconds
GPA: 2.6
Caught 45 passes last season averaging 19.1 per grab as a junior, scoring 11 times. Nice combination of size and speed. One of the Midwest's finest wide receivers.  
College choices: Committed to Texas.

Weight: 180 pounds
40-yard dash: 4.48 seconds
GPA: 3.3
McKnight, a Rivals100 selection, is one of the elite players in the nation at his position. He's also a great kid off the field and is already fully qualified. When talking about elite players, McKnight's name is right up there.  
College choices: Florida, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Oregon, Tennessee, UCLA and Washington.

Orlando (Fla.) Dr. Phillips
Height: 6-foot-4
Weight: 188 pounds
40-yard dash: 4.4 seconds
GPA: 2.6
Moore is one of the top football prospects in the entire nation. He has the size, speed and game-breaking ability to be a great receiver. He's also a heck of a basketball player and is getting serious interest in both sports - and he wants to play both in college. He will most likely sign a football letter of intent.  
College choices: Florida, LSU, Miami, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Selma, Ala.
Height: 6-foot-2
Weight: 182 pounds
40-yard dash: 4.4 seconds
GPA: 4.3
Obomanu could be the best player in the state of Alabama this year. He's scored 30 career touchdowns and is as dangerous returning kickoffs and punts as he is catching the ball.  
College choices: Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Mississippi, Nebraska, Northwestern and Tennessee.

Height: 6-foot
Weight: 170 pounds
40-yard dash: 4.4 seconds
GPA: 3.0
Platt is super fast with great hands. He's one of the most sought after wide receivers in the Southeast this year. As a junior, Platt caught 64 passes for 1,470 yards and 16 touchdowns.  
College choices: Florida State, South Florida, Georgia, LSU and Indiana.

Weight: 175 pounds
40-yard dash: 4.41 seconds
GPA: 3.54
Rankins is an outstanding wide receiver with great hands and the ability to get separation. One of the top players in North Carolina. Helped his team jump off to a 1-1 start in his senior season. Returned a kickoff 94 yards and a punt 99 yards for scores in his first two games.  
College choices: Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, N.C. State, Oklahoma, Penn State and Tennessee.

Radnor (Pa.) Carroll
Height: 6-foot-5
Weight: 208 pounds
40-yard dash: 4.3 seconds
GPA: 3.0
Great combination of size, speed, and athletic ability. Caught 19 passes and averaged 23 yards a catch as a junior. Stovall also picked off 10 passes.  
College choices: Georgia Tech, Michigan, Notre Dame, Tennessee and Virginia.

Height: 6-foot-2
Weight: 205 pounds
40-yard dash: 4.46 seconds
GPA: 2.7
Timmons is the top wide receiver prospect in the state of Texas this year. With out of this world quickness and playmaking ability, almost every college coach in the country has called Timmons the second-coming of Peter Warrick.  
College choices: Texas, Colorado, Florida State, Miami, USC and Tennessee.

Height: 6-foot-1
Weight: 175 pounds
40-yard dash: 4.42 seconds
GPA: 3.0
Washington has game-breaking skills and some insiders think he is in the same boat when it comes to Moore and Platt when it comes to overall talent.  
College choices: Georgia Tech, Ohio State, Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Missouri, North Carolina, N.C. State, Purdue, Texas A&M, UCLA, Minnesota and Boston College.
