Tigers Offer Palmetto State Junior Wide Receiver

Cheraw (SC) High School is the home for some of the state's top talent each year. The class of 2007 aleady has defensive end Cliff Matthews as one of the top rated recruits in that class, and it appears that the Braves will also represented. Thursday, after evaluating talent at the Braves' spring practices, wide receiver Jaron Brown received an offer from a major ACC program.

Brown, a 6-3, 185lbs receiver/defensive back, was offered a scholarship to Clemson while Coach Bowden was on campus on Thursday. With 4.6 speed, already has Brown listed as one of the preliminary Top Ten players from the Class of 2008, a class that will deep in receivers.

According to the Cheraw staff, South Carolina will be on their campus Friday morning, as well.
