Report: Matt Trannon to Michigan State

In a Premium story Thursday night, The Wolverine reported the following:

"The Wolverine has learned from sources close to the Michigan athletic department that football/basketball recruit Matt Trannon, a wide receiver/forward from Flint (Mich.) Northern, may announce his college decision as soon as Friday. Trannon narrowed his recruitment to U-M and Michigan State after considering Missouri, Florida, and others.

"According to the sources of these reports, the Wolverines have not received any indication as to which school Trannon will choose -- a fact which could well indicate that his college plans lie elsewhere. Stay tuned for more on this story in the coming day."

Prep Spotlight is now reporting the following:

"We have received several unconfirmed reports that tell us that today at 2:30 (on Friday) Matt Trannon will commit to the Michigan State Spartans. While these reports are unconfirmed, they do come from a source very close to Trannon and are believed to be accurate."

Check back at TheWolverine.com as we seek to confirm these reports.
