Riley Cooper

Wide Receiver, Fr., Clearwater, Fla;

In the closest vote of the year, freshman wide out Riley Cooper edged out freshman quarterback Tim Tebow in the voting for Alley-Gator Great player of the week honors

Cooper was also named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week after catching 3 passes for 82 yards and 3 touchdowns on Saturday. Cooper

THE REASON WHY: I picked Riley Cooper. He showed a lot of maturity overcoming his nerves. It would be hard to drop a touchdown pass, puke on the field and then come back out and play. Not only did he come back and play but he caught the ball 3 times. Each of those times it resulted in points for the Gators. - mas0n311

Riley was freaking AWESOME!!!! I was screaming 86.....86...86!! He is going to be nails next year - UTSPARTAN

InsidetheGators.net will post a poll with our five nominations for Alley-Gator Great on the Alligator Alley shortly after each game. The poll will be left in place until Monday morning. Each week's Great Alley-Gator will be announced Monday afternoon.
