BREAKING NEWS: Stroughter to play

Sammie Stroughter, Oregon State's All-American wide receiver and punt returner will play in Thursday nights contest against the Cincinnati Bearcats. Coach Riley met the press prior to the Beaver's walk-through at Nippert Stadium on Wednesday and confirmed to numerous sources that Stroughter will see the field Thursday night.

According to the Oregonian's Paul Buker, Riley stated that Stroughter would back up freshman Darrell Catchings at split end and Taylor Kavanaugh on punt return duties. Riley stated that both Stroughter and his family feel good about his return to the gridiron and that he feels that Stroughter is game ready.
