Some facts and figures about college and high school backgrounds:
The SEC has the most players in the game, with 22, followed in order by the ACC (17), the Pac-10 (16), the Big 12 (13), the Big Ten (12), Conference USA (five), the Big East (four), independents (three), the Mid-American and Mountain West (two each) and the Sun Belt and Western Athletic (one each). In addition, there are six players from I-AA schools and one from a Division II school.
There are 14 players who played high school football in California, followed in order by Georgia (13), Florida (12), Texas (11) and Louisiana and Ohio (six each).
Four high schools have two players in the game: Jonesboro (Ga.) High, Mishawaka (Ind.) Penn, Shreveport (La.) Evangel Christian and Tustin (Calif.) High.
