Sunshine state first to Offer McElveen

Winston-Salem (NC) introduced you to Donny McElveen last month when we told you about the rising senior signal caller's plans to transfer to Summerville High School. Today, the dual threat star got his first official offer - from the Sunshine state - and is excited about what he saw.

"Central Florida offered Donnie today," said McElveen's father. "We went down for a visit on Sunday, spent some time at the school and talking with the coaches, and we met with Coach O'Leary today and he offered Donnie."

The 6-2, 190lbs quarterback has started 29 games for Mt Tabor High School and has won 21 of them. He has led Mount Tabor to two conference championships, one Western Regional championship, and to the State Championship last season.

He is a dual threat quarterback with sub 4.6 speed and this season he will be playing at perennial power Summerville.

"He really liked the campus," said the elder McElveen. "He didn't commit or anything, but he was very impressed with what he saw. They've got some very good things going on down there." will keep you updated on this outstanding 2009 Prospect's recruiting. is your source for: College Football | Football Recruiting | College Basketball | Basketball Recruiting | College Baseball | High School | College Merchandise
