Joseph Bergeron, RB, Mesquite (Texas) North Mesquite COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Bergeron won the prestigious freshman MVP award after posting excellent all-around combine numbers. At 5 feet 11, 248 pounds, Bergeron displayed phenomenal quickness for his size as he ran a 4.37-second shuttle. Bergeron also had a 25.5-inch jump-stand vertical, and bench pressed 135 pounds 28 times.
Blake Boyd, QB, Allen, Texas COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Boyd, a 6-foot, 170-pound quarterback, took home a freshman MVP award. Boyd ran a 4.3 shuttle, had a 30-inch jump-stand vertical and bench pressed 135 pounds 20 times.
Brent Comarelle, WR, League City (Texas) Clear Creek COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Comarelle took home the wide receiver MVP due to his great speed and athleticism. Comardelle, at 5-11, 165 pounds, had a 32-inch jump-stand vertical while running a mind-boggling 4.18 shuttle. His quick feet and impressive vertical leap helped him take home the MVP honors.
Charles Emert, OL, Statesboro, Ga. COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Emert, an imposing 6-1.5, 260-pounder was one of the winners of the offensive line MVP. Emert displayed very quick feet for a man of his size as a 4.9 shuttle time as a lineman is very impressive.
Khari Ferrell, OL, Fort Worth (Texas) Country Day COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Ferrell, at 5-11 and an imposing 310 pounds was named DL MVP. Ferrell bench pressed 185 pounds 19 times and showed impressive quickness for a player his size by running a 5.3 shuttle.
Trey Franks, WR, Orange (Texas) West Orange-Stark COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Franks, a 5-8.5, 172-pound wide receiver was crowned sophomore combine king. Franks had a 30.5-inch jump-stand vertical and 9'8 broad jump, while running a 4.52 shuttle and a 4.48 40.
Eugene Garcia, QB, San Antonio (Texas) Churchill COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Garcia, at 5-10.5, 165 pounds was awarded the QB MVP. In addition to having excellent passing skills, Garcia ran a 4.39 shuttle.
Andre Gibson, RB, Fort Worth (Texas) Calvary Academy COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Gibson (5-7/174) was the RB MVP. Gibson had a 32-inch jump-stand vertical, ran a 4.52 40 and bench pressed 155 pounds 18 times.
Jovan Griffin, QB, Mckinney (Texas) McKinney Boyd COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Griffin, a 5-10, 150-pounder was the winner of the QB MVP. Griffin had a 30-inch jump-stand vertical, 8-6 broad jump, ran 4.47 shuttle and a 4.43 40.
Dexter Griffith, OL, Haltom City (Texas) Haltom COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Griffith, who shares the offensive line MVP award with Emert, displayed awesome physical strength during the combine. Griffith, at 5-10.5, 278 pounds was able to bench press 185 pounds 27 times.
Roderick Harris, LB, Mesquite (Texas) North Mesquite COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Harris was announced the LB MVP after displaying good speed/power numbers. Harris ran a 4.87 shuttle and was able to bench press 135 pounds 20 times at the combine.
Samuel Harvill, DL, Springdale (Ark.) Shiloh Christian COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Harvill received the overall MVP award at the combine after putting in good numbers across the board. Harvill, at 5-11.5, 240 pounds had a 29.5-inch jump-stand vertical which is excellent for a lineman. Harvill's strength was unbelievable as he bench pressed 155 pounds 53 times, which is a combine record.
Kendall Hayes, LB, Lancaster, Texas COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Hayes was the monster of the midway as he won the LB MVP. Hayes had a 31-inch vertical and a 8'7 broad jump. This 5-8.5, 161-pounder will only get bigger and better which is scary due to his already-developed athletic abilities.
Byron Hudson, RB, DeSoto, Texas COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Hudson, a 5- 11.5, 202-pound running back was awarded the overall MVP following a stellar effort at the combine. Hudson had a 29.5-inch jump-stand vertical, 8'7 broad jump, ran a 4.42 shuttle and a 4.49 40. As his overall statistics show, Hudson is a player to watch out for.
Robert Luce, OL, Episcopal COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Luce (6-2.5/279) was the OL MVP winner. Luce bench pressed 185 pounds 18 times while running a 4.99 shuttle.
Philip Odoemena, DL, Mansfield, Texas COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: This 6-foot, 260-pounder was the winner of the DL MVP. Odoemena ran a 4.92 shuttle, which is impressive for a man of his size. In addition, Odoemena bench pressed 185 pounds 15 times.
Desmond Roland, WR, Dallas (Texas) Lake Highlands COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Roland was the winner of the freshman combine king award. Roland (6-1.5/193) displayed excellent speed. Roland ran a 4.3 shuttle and a 4.64 40. Roland also had good strength for a receiver as he bench pressed 135 pounds 21 times.
Alvaro Umana, DL, Wylie, Texas COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Umana was a physical force at 5-11.5, 345 pounds and won the strongest man award. Umana benched 185 pounds an unbelievable 37 times and still managed to run a 5.24 shuttle which is very fast for someone his size.
Michael Wheeler, WR, Mesquite (Texas) North Mesquite COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Wheeler was crowned the combine king after displaying excellent speed and athleticism. The 5-9.5, 161-pound receiver ran a 4.36 shuttle, a 4.59 40 and posted a 29.5-inch jump-stand vertical.
Ricky Zorn, QB, Dallas (Texas) Lake Highlands COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: This 5-11.5, 174-pound quarterback was the winner of the leadership award. As all great quarterbacks do, Zorn was able to lead his team in the correct direction during the combine. Zorn also displayed excellent physical abilities with a 31-inch jump-stand vertical and a 4.50 40.
