Barry Brunetti, QB, Memphis (Tenn.) Memphis University School COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Brunetti had a great combine and was named combine king along with earning the QB MVP. Brunetti (6-0.5/206 pounds) had a 26-inch jump-stand vertical, ran a 4.68 shuttle and bench pressed 155 pounds 19 times.
Joshua Calhoun, RB, Owings Mills (Md.) McDonogh COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Calhoun was the RB MVP following a good showing at the combine. Calhoun had a 29-inch jump-stand vertical, 9'1.5 broad jump and bench pressed 155 pounds 16 times.
Ferlando Bohanna, LB, Senatobia, Miss. COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Ferlando (6-0/226) was the winner of the overall MVP after displaying good all-around ability. Ferlando had a 28-inch jump-stand vertical, ran a 4.61 shuttle, 4.52 40 and bench pressed 155 pounds 23 times.
Fredrick Flenom, QB, Memphis (Tenn.) Whitehaven COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Flenom took home the overall MVP. The 6-0.5, 165-pound standout had a 29-inch jump-stand vertical, 9'9 broad jump, ran a 4.66 40 and bench pressed 155 pounds 14 times.
Sherrod Johnson, CB, Dyer (Tenn.) Gibson County COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Johnson (5-9/161) was the king of the defensive backs as he was named DB MVP. Johnson had a 28-inch jump-stand vertical, 8'8 broad jump and ran a 4.46 shuttle.
Fredrick Parks, OL, Morton, Miss. COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Parks (5-11 240) was the winner of the OL MVP. Parks displayed his excellent strength as he bench pressed 185 pounds 19 times.
Joshua Poole, RB, Arlington, Tenn. COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Poole (5-9/175) was the winner of the leadership award. Poole displayed an excellent work ethic and attitude. Poole also had good feet as he ran a 4.69 shuttle.
Terry Redden, DL, Memphis (Tenn.) Whitehaven COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Redden (6-1.5/255) was the DL MVP. Redden bench pressed 155 pounds 22 times and had a 23.5-inch vertical.
Courtney Richmond, CB, Memphis (Tenn.) Kirby COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Richmond (5-10/163) was the recipient of the DB MVP following a nice performance. Richmond had a 27-inch jump-stand vertical, 9'2 broad jump and ran a 4.57 40.
Daniel Rodely, LB, Jonesboro (Ark.) Jonesboro Senior COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Rodley was named LB MVP after displaying excellent all-around skills. Rodley (6-0/190) had a 31-inch jump-stand vertical, 9'3 broad jump, ran a 4.6 40 and bench pressed 155 pounds 26 times. Rodley's all-around talents make him a player to watch out for.
Christian Schuetz, OL, Southaven, Miss. COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Schuetz was the OL MVP and strongest man. Schuetz (6-3/246) bench pressed 185 pounds 14 times while running a 4.88 shuttle, which is impressive for a lineman.
Bradford Shearin, LB, Jonesboro (Ark.) Jonesboro Senior COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Shearin was the winner of the LB MVP. This 6-0, 215-pounder had a 28-inch vertical and ran a 4.71 40. Shearin figures to definitely get better over time.
Gregory Sheehan, WR, Rossville (Tenn.) Rossville Christian COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Sheehan (5-8.5/151) was the winner of the WR MVP award after putting up some pretty good numbers. Sheehan had a 25-inch jump-stand vertical and ran a 4.60 shuttle.
Jabriel Washington, ATH, Jackson (Tenn.) Trinity Christian Academy COMBINE HIGHLIGHTS: Washington won the WR MVP after impressing coaches with his effort. Washington had a 24-inch vertical and ran a 4.6 40. The 5-10, 154-pound Class of 2011 athlete will only improve as time is on his side.
