Southern Miss 61 Tulane 54

NEW ORLEANS - Jeremy Wise scored 19 points to lead Southern Miss to a 61-54 win over Tulane on Wednesday night.

Wise also finished with seven rebounds and five assists for the Golden Eagles (10-5, 1-1 Conference USA). Courtney Beasley and R.L. Horton chipped in with 12 points apiece.

Southern Miss shot 44.9 percent from the field (22-for-49), with Wise and Horton combining to shoot 11-for-25.

The Green Wave (7-9, 1-2) were led by Kris Richard, who scored 19. Kevin Sims and Asim McQueen each scored 10.

Tulane outrebounded the Golden Eagles 35-33, but shot only 33.3 percent from the field (20-for-60). In addition, the Green Wave failed to make a 3-pointer the entire game (0-for-13).
