The North Carolina State football team will be playing South Carolina with a few key losses from its original two-deep.
The Wolfpack will play the Gamecocks on Thursday without two-year starting cornerback DeAndre Morgan, a redshirt junior who was listed second string on the depth chart, and redshirt sophomore defensive end Jeff Rieskamp, who was a quality backup last year behind starter Willie Young, and even sent Young to the bench twice.
Other players ruled out for the South Carolina game include redshirt junior wide receiver Donald Bowens, who is expected back later in the season, redshirt junior safety Javon Walker, who missed all of last year with a knee injury, backup redshirt sophomore center Wayne Crawford and true freshman linebacker Ryan Cheek.
Freshman Rashard Smith will move into Morgan's spot at cornerback, and fifth-year senior Andy Barbee, a former center, will move into Crawford's spot as second-string center.
