The good: Savvy senior who understands the game and has learned to get the most out of his talent. Has an adequate arm, nice touch, a quick release and good decision-making. A West Coast offense would best utilize his talent. As a senior, he started 12 games and was 172 of 266 for 1,907 yards with 17 TD and eight picks.
The bad: Does not currently make all the throws necessary to be an NFL starter. Lacks a strong, live arm to make the tough throw into a tight seam. Sometimes tends to lock on to a receiver, bringing defenders into the passing lanes.
Outlook: Good late-round selection with the ability to move up the depth chart in time. Has the athleticism, smarts and intangibles to surprise for the patient club that can let him develop.
