St. Louis has lost several defensive linemen in free agency in recent years and has struggled to replace Grant Wistrom's pass rush. Chris Long could be the answer to those problems. Check out the team needs for the Rams and the entire NFC West inside.[details]
The good: Simpson, who began his career at USF, is a stocky, compact runner who has the power to run through tacklers. He shows the power to run inside and the lateral quickness to get outside.
The bad: He has marginal size and lacks breakaway speed. He didn't star until he dropped down a level of competition. Hasn't shown he can be a receiving threat.
Outlook: He has the natural talent to be a major sleeper and late-bloomer if he proves durable and develops his receiving and blocking skills, which are raw. He'd be a good late-round addition with definite upside potential.
