The good: Roach has nice size for his position and also possesses good speed, mobility and intangibles. He came on strong in his final season at Texas Christian and displayed the durability that was missing earlier in his career. He reacts quickly to what he sees on the field.
The bad: He needs to learn to use his big frame to become a stronger tackler. In pass coverage, he is a little stiff in the hips and doesn't look smooth in transition. His range is only adequate. His backpedal doesn't look natural. He can struggle in man-to-man coverage.
Outlook: This top-200 prospect has the size and athleticism to eventually develop into a starter if he improves his pass coverage skills. He could be a good late-round selection with some upside if he settles into a position.
