Notes: Also competed in track and field (shot put, discus) as a South Carolina prep. Insufficient grades scared off big schools, and Chisolm played at NAIA Pikeville (Ky.) in 2006 before leaving because of family issues. Went back home to Trident Tech (S.C.) in '07 before attending South Carolina as a student in '08. Walked on in August '09 and played in eight games, drawing a pair of starts at left guard. Started all 12 games played at left guard in '10 - missed the Furman game to attend his father's funeral and did not play in the bowl game against Florida State after suffering a torn right ACL that required surgery. Had surgery following the season.
Positives: Has an athletic frame and a build to support 330 pounds - is still growing into his body. Can pull, trap and lead up in space. Moves well for his size. Stood out against Georgia. Tough, highly competitive, hardworking and driven to succeed.
Negatives: Very raw - has only been a one-year starter. Has a skinny, underdeveloped lower body. Tends to play a bit top-heavy and catches a lot. Technique is still raw and inconsistent. Will require some patience.
Summary: Walked on to the team and quickly earned a job and developed into a consistent performer on the line and graded out as a draftable talent prior to blowing out his knee at the end of the season. Might have to start the year on the physically-unable-to-perform list, which could affect his draft standing. Developmental prospect with upside.
