Pros: He shows fine instincts to locate the ball quickly and the technique and strength to hold the point-of-attack and clog the middle. He has good lower body strength and has developed better use of leverage over his career. He has a thick body and legs and is a high-effort grappler that makes plays through sheer effort and desire. He has a nice short area burst of speed that allows him to gain penetration and make plays. Cons: He lacks the prototypical numbers of the premier tackles, but his production in the tough SEC has been consistently good over his career. He needs more pass rush moves and will sometimes lose control and miss basic tackles. He has short arms and will struggle to get free when he is tied up to blockers, though he can hold the point of attack. Numbers: At the Combine, he ran the 40-yard dash in 5.16 seconds with 32 reps in the 225-pound bench press and also had a 27.5-inch vertical jump and an 8-foot-3 broad jump. As a senior, he played in 12 games with 46 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, and three sacks.
